There are so many great picture books, but in my opinion, the best picture books are the ones where you notice new things each time you read them. There's always something new, and it's especially those little details that have been there forever but suddenly surprise you after already reading the book 100 times that make the book stand out.
Take, for example, this week's image for the Picture Book Identification Challenge. I have read this book so many times in the last 25 years, but I never noticed a small detail in this exact image. Look at how those flowers are all wilting. They're falling over like they're dying and all falling away from that cute character. I never noticed that until today.
On to Week 24, and this week there are two questions. You may answer one or the other or both or even answer both questions in two separate comments. Good luck!
What is this cute character's name? What is the name of this book's narrator?
