Hey Brian just want to thank you for your wonderful blogs. I've only recently become aware of them and I want to particularly thank you for your highly visual aids to the book "Wonder'. We have just purchased this as a shared reading resource and your entries will be invaluable. Keep doing what you're doing and please don't remove your wonderful work. I learned about it through our library listserv so there are a lot of New Zealand librarians and teachers finding treasire in it!
Hi Brian. Wanted to tell you how much I love your blog. I teach sixth grade and love so many of the books you have written about. I am excited to read more. Thank you for sharing. :)
Concerning the Wonder resources, I sometimes use them to build prior knowledge before reading, and sometimes I pause during the reading to display an image or explain the next idea.
Thank you. I will do both. My son is reading this story with his school but we are reading it as a family as well. My eldest son was born with a cleft lip and while his story isn't exactly the same it does hit home for us. Your resources will help us all take it to a higher level. Again, thank you so very much! Happy New Year!
Brian, I am beyond impressed with your blog about Wonder. This will be a great resource for me as a special education teacher who is teaching this book next month. Two thumbs way up!!
I love this blog, it is so helpful and informative! I read Wonder and love it myself but the references, images and explanations you provide will be so helpful for the kids in my class when we read it this week. THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for sharing your resources with the world. I teach 7th grade in Georgia, and my students and I have loved your pictures and links for Wonder. Your site is very inspirational.
Just moving into 6th Grade Language Arts along with my usual Hindi for foreign students here at our Christian International School in New Delhi, India. I'm grateful for your site and will be using the links for Wonder. Please post names of any new books that would be appropriate for an international school. Many are too "Americanized" or about the Depression and U.S. History with Americanisms. Any ideas? lgillette@mdis.net
